This should make it both take less time and be more fun to update some of the more trivial C 2s. Each new Challenge 2 is a combination of two older ones, and setting your Zone in one of the combo C 2s will set the Zone for both of the Challenges that it's based off of at the same time. 12 different Challenge 2s have been fused together into 6 new Challenge 2s.Spire Cores no longer consume Spirestones when upgrading/replacing mods, instead you can spend 100% of your total Spirestones on each Core!.The Home Detector Mastery now also drops Uberhousing upgrades.

  • You can now spend the full value of your Nu on both your Staff and Shield, rather than 50% on each.
  • Instead, you'll automatically gain one once you have the amount of Nu that each level previously cost.
  • You no longer have to purchase carried Heirloom slots.
  • Fixed an issue where the Topology combo C2 was not properly stopping the Blacksmithery Mastery.
  • Fixed an issue where the Nometal combo C2 was not unlocking Miners after being abandoned.
  • Temporarily reverted a change made in 5.9.0 for setting Bone Portal when portalling before abandoning a Daily Challenge, as it was causing bonus Daily Challenge Helium/Radon to be lost in some situations.
  • The reason I recommend doing it last is that to clear it, you have to beat Zone 40 and, as you can attest, that's not something you can do very quickly right now. Balance is what's called a Helium challenge, meaning that its reward is that you get more Helium. The first four I listed give you permanent rewards, unlocking new perks for the first 3 and making the start of the run a little less frantic for the fourth. I recommend running them in the order Discipline -> Metal -> Size -> Scientist -> Balance. Assuming that 40 was an exact number, you'll be able to choose between None, Discipline, Metal, Size, Balance, and Scientist as far as Challenges go. Go to the Portal screen, put the helium you have left in perks - there are really no bad options this early in the game some of them get bad later on but that's once you're dealing with far larger amounts of Helium than the 50 you have.

Essentially, while you get all the benefits of having 40 as your highest zone (meaning you've got the Underachiever achievement for getting to 30 with less than 60 Helium, you've unlocked a few challenges already that you would otherwise be pushing for at the ends of your next few runs, and you have the Determined achievement for clearing 30), you're in a fairly standard place going into your second run. Congratulations on pushing your way to zone 40 on your first run that's far beyond the limits of what was intended. 50 is a decent amount of Helium for the end of your first run, but that's usually somewhere around zone 23-25.
